Undergrad Work

College has taught me so much about who I am as a designer. From finding out what I enjoy visually to describing how material plays a role, check out how my projects grew.

A little About Alex St Cyr

I am a Fifth-year architecture student with training in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Lumeon, D5, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

I have learned so much more than simply those programs- at Tech we are taught how to learn. Our instructors teach us the necessary tools to learn whatever programs we encounter.

Proficient in

Indesign

Over the last three years, I have grown to appreciate InDesign's flexibility and design capacity. Its ability to create elevates your work just that much more. I have also grown quite comfortable in it, having worked in it for the last five years.

RHINO

This is where I began my 3D journey. Rhino is my preferd design tool due to it ease and quick itrative ability. While it does not offer the professional assets that REVIT offers, I use it in all my projects as a first step, once I sort out the big issues in Rhino I transition into REVIT

Photoshop

While Photoshop is not new to me by any means, I have certainly dove deep into the entire Adobe suite in the last three years. I am becoming a master in Photoshop, as it is my preferred post-production program for plans, sections, and elevations.

REVIT

REVIT, a builders software. While it is not the most design friendly at first, transitioning into it was one of the biggest leaps forward I have seen in my work in school. Not having to worry about clipping planes and make2D. simply producing a clean drawing set.

AutoCAD

CAD is not completely obsolete in all this, while my transition into REVIT did steer me away from cad, I do occasionally clean up a drawing in it from Rhino. So much of AutoCAD is now built into REVIT and I primarily use REVIT.

Some of my favorite projects over the last year.
